Why the Cross if Everyone Will be Saved?

Everyone will be saved because of the cross (Colossians 1:20). The Biblical Universalist believes that the power of the cross extends far beyond the grave, all the way to the end when Christ submits Himself to the Father and God becomes all in all (1 Corinthians 15:28), effectively ending the mediatorial role of Jesus the Messiah. It is then, and not before, that the cleansing power of the cross ceases to be in effect.
